A Little Pretty
Late night happy hours.

Happy hour allows for the perfect moment to relax, enjoy good food, drink a glass of fine wine, and have good conversation.

Portland is known for its happy hour selection.  There is plenty to choose from.  Each spot offers a unique experience and menu.

This photo brought to you compliments of Basta's happy hour.  cheers.

Happy Easter
I feel so blessed to have faith.  Faith in a Creator who gives us free will.  Faith in a God who desires relationship and holds us accountable.  Faith in something I can not see but can feel in the depths of my heart.  Faith in a loving Father who has a perfect will for our lives.  Faith in Jesus who died and rose again.

Along with that faith comes doubt.  A natural instinct to question.  And I think that important and healthy.  It gives us the ability to truly choose to believe and create a deeper anchor in God.  We should use those moment to seek knowledge.  Research, speak to a mentor, or open the Word and build a journey to your truth.  The question is when does doubt become resistance?

Even with doubt and uncertainty, I choose my faith in God.

 Fun at the Zoo
Have you been to the zoo lately?  I hadn't been in what felt like forever until recently.  It was a snow day and school was canceled for the little boy I nanny so we hopped in the car and headed to the zoo.  I must say it was really fun!  And the crazy thing is that the animals still seem so surreal even as an adult.  What's your favorite zoo animal?

Afternoon in the park

Today was a beautiful day.  After days of rain I was happy for a little glmipse of the sun. It felt like spring.  Eric and I had no plans so we decided to head to the park for the afternoon.  A blanket, guitar, and good company made for the perfect afternoon. Eric played some guitar and I just relaxed while I people watched.   Happy Weekend.

27
This year I had intended to spend my birthday surrounded by politicians & makeup at the OPB Republican Debate.  But last minute, Romney pulled out which created a hiccup and eventually the entire debate was canceled.

With my birthday plans up in the air, Eric took the lead, played hooky and made my day sparkle.  A birthday at the mountain and I loved every minute of it.  And my pro-snowboarder boyfriend even stayed patience as I would snowboard, fall, repeat all the way down the mountain.

Why Blog?
For a long time I have always been a blog follower but never a blogger.  I will admit I started a few random blogs but they never stuck.  It's like the old journals you run across and as your flip through you realized that you only completed maybe two entries ;)

So why blog now?

I want to document my life.  The good and the bad.  I want to look back and see what I learned from each chapter.  I am not looking for fame but instead want to create a memory of the challenges I faced, opportunities I pursued, contentment I found and the pretties I discovered.

I am excited to turn this blank canvas into a beautiful piece of artwork.

I think it will be a fun little thing.
